Maxine DeMint, 87, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, passed 11:18 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born June 4, 1936 in Chillicothe to the late Shirley and Thelma Knisley Parker.  On November 23, 1961, she married Otha R. DeMint, who passed November 5, 1995.

Surviving are children, Nancy Broyles, of Columbus and Dan (Sherry) DeMint, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Daniel (Courtney) DeMint and Laura Hall; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Sue Meyers, of Chillicothe.  She was predeceased by son-in-law, Arnold Broyles; sisters, Shirley Hayes and Betty Shoemaker; brothers, Wendell, Dave, Jack, Robert, Roy and Donald Parker.

Maxine retired from Pete's Corner Market, she also worked at the former Williams Restaurant.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Dr. Ralph Hux officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends and family may call at WARE FUNERAL HOME 1 hour prior to the service on Monday.
