Melissa Wheeler, 51, of Chillicothe, passed peacefully with her family at her side.  She went to her heavenly home on October 4, 2023 at 10:09 a.m.  We know she ran into her mommy's arms.

She was born on September 22, 1972, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to James R. Flannery (her daddy) who survives.  And also, to the late Sharon R. Horsley Flannery.  On September 2, 1995, she married Larry E. Wheeler who survives.  They were happily married twenty-eight years.  He was the love of her life.

Also surviving are her children who she loved with all of her heart, Larah, Joshua, Gabriel and Seth Wheeler who all live at home.  She is survived by her siblings Cathy (Kenny) Patrick and Greg (Melissa) Flannery and numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews and great nieces who loved their "Sissy" more than anything.

Melissa was an RN at Berger Wound Clinic where she worked with her best friend of many years, Carri Smith.  Melissa had a contagious smile that would brighten a room.

We were blessed to have such a wonderful wife, mother, sister and aunt who thought the world of her family.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Keith Boothe officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
