Miceala A. Shaffer (Mickey Smith), 41, of Chillicothe, has come to the end of her life’s journey on August 18th, 2026 at 5 a.m. following an extended illness.

Mickey was born February 28th, 1985 to the Thomas D. and Marion J. Smith.

Smith and Pipper L. L. Shaffer; beloved father-in-law, Earl R. Shaffer, Sr., who she was dearly close to, all of Chillicothe; special cousins, Jennifer Robinson and Keshia Robinson; aunt, Lynette Mitchell; special uncles, Ira Bennard and Billy Bennard; special niece, Heather Mitchell; special brother-in-law, Brian and Rusti Ford and Richard Shaffer; an uncle Lee Harris; special family, Christopher Tanner, Tony Peele, Tyrone Lewis, George Cockerham, Heather Cockerham, and many more; special friends, Tawni Earles, Balinda Hufferd, Beth Bolt, David Jenkins, Nikki Hurt, Mark Taylor and Family, Jim Crawford and family, Joe Wallingford, Carl and Robie Campbell, Travis Blanton and family, Damon Adkins, Erica Leeth and many more. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas D. Smith; sister, Denise J. Harris; brother, Elvis Mitchell special cousins, Kim Robinson and Greg Robinson; aunt, Marjory Robinson; uncle, Jerry; Tameka Lynch.

Mickey was a loving mother, wife and daughter-in-law. She is loved by many and missed by the thousands of lives that she touched. Her amazing smile, kind heart, sweet and uplifting words brought joy to many.

We will deeply miss the one we loved and held so dearly. Rest in peace Mickey, love always your husband, children, family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated. The family asked that anyone who plans to attend the visitation do so in a spirt of respect to all in attendance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the WARE FUNERAL HOME, 121 W. 2nd St., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
