Nancy Edginton, 65, of Chillicothe, passed 1:09 a.m. Monday, September 4, 2023 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born March 11, 1958, in Chillicothe, to the late Charles and Donna Grooms Coppel.  On April 19, 1996, she married Terry Edgington who survives.

Also surviving are sons, Robert "Rob" (Amanda) Butler, Jr., of McCordsville, IN and Tim Butler, of Chillicothe; daughter, Ashley (Brent) Hoops, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Blythe Butler, Benjamin Butler, Josie Butler, Sierra Butler, Alexander Umphries, Marissa Skaggs and Brennan Hoops; a great grandson, Avienn Umphries; a sister, Lynn Halasz, of Chillicothe; a brother, Richard (Michele) Coppel, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a stepfather, Ronnie Yahraus and a brother, Steve Coppel.

Nancy retired February 28, 2023 from Rocal in Frankfort.  She was a member of American Legion Post 62, VFW Post 108 and AMVETS Post 4.  Nancy was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan, animal lover and the Peanuts Comic.  She loved spending time playing board games with her grandchildren, enjoyed camping, reading, watching movies and television, especially NCIS.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, September 10, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with her son, Rev. Rob Butler officiating.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday.
