Norma J. Stumbo, 91, of Chillicothe, passed 4:09 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Meadow Grove Nursing Home following an extended illness.

She was born August 4, 1931, in Ross County, to the late Lewis and Mary Freshour Rhoads.  On February 5, 1954, she married Dana Gordon Stumbo, who preceded her in death.

Also surviving are children, Angela (Gary) Van Horn, of Grove City, OH Gordon "Mike" Stumbo, of Grove City, OH, Becky Bowman, of Columbus, OH and Sherry (Chuck) Nelson, of Grove City; grandchildren, Danny (Jill) Roth, Brian (Andrea) Roth, Spencer (Nolan) Nelson and Sean Stumbo; many great grandchildren; a sister, JoAnn Hurless, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Lois Boxwell and brothers, Melvin Rhoads and Leo Rhoades; and a special sister-in-law, Geneva Kight.

Norma was a longtime member of High Street Church of Christ in Christian Union and Grove City Nazarene Church.  She was also a life member of the AMVETS Post 4 Ladies Auxiliary.

The family would like to extend a special "Thanks" to the Nazarene Church in Grove City.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, March 25, 2023 at WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Bruce Viar officiating.  Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery.  Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. – 12 Noon prior to the service.
