Osccie D. Acord, 94, of Chillicothe, passed at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at her residence.

She was born July 6, 1929 in Ross County to the late Oscar and Dorothy Jordan Colvin.  On August 6, 1955 she married Glen W. Acord who preceded her on March 5, 1964.

Surviving are children, Glen (Susanne) Acord, of Chillicothe, Glenda (George) Manson, of Amanda and Roger Atwood, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Tammy (Jeff) Beougher, Roger Atwood, Jr., Jason (Rhonda) Atwood, Tiffany (Seth) Elliott, Brandon (Carrie) Manson, Stacy (Sean) Schobelock, Jenna (Chris) Riffle and Brittany (Dustin) Baxter; 12 great grandchildren and a great great grandson; sisters, Leola Pollock, of Chillicothe and Shirley Horner, of Texas; brother, Ronnie Colvin, of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by son, Ernie Atwood; grandson, James Atwood; daughter-in-law, Marsha Atwood; brothers, Arlie, Emmit, twin brother, Oscar Jr., Milton and Millard Colvin; sisters, Irene Haddox, Emma Newlan, Virginia Hall and Margaret Norris.

Osccie was a homemaker for her family.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to National Church Hospice Care and care givers, Ali Clemmon, Mary Sutherland and LaRhonda Shoemaker.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 at WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Aaron Hines officiating.  Burial will follow in Twin Cemetery.  Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. prior to the service.
