Oswald "Ozzie" Warrens left this life Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
He was born June 6, 1934 in Garrett, KY to the late Joseph Hawley and Girlie (Triplett) Warrens, being the second of 10 children.
He married Pauline M. Elliott on June 6, 1954. The Lord blessed them with 3 children, Rick A. Warrens, of Chillicothe, Rhonda S. (Russell Jr.) Miller, of Chillicothe and Jeffery L. (Kim) Warrens, of Hartford, MI., all who survive; grandchildren, Staci (Michael) Ludwig, Tawnya (David) Akers, Brianna Miller (Austin Long), Jacob (Nicole) Warrens, Emily (Adam) Cunningham; great grandchildren, Dylan and Autumn Ludwig, Corbin and Caden Akers, Anastasia Warrens, Connor, Dallan and Haiden Long.
Also surviving are sisters, Janice Graves, of Jackson, Myrna Flaker, of Jackson; Barbara (Phillip) Brown, of Circleville, Mary (Eldred) Hale, of McArthur, Charlotte (Larry) Johnson, of Jackson; sister-in-law, Karen Warrens, of Beaver.
He was predeceased in death by his wife, Pauline; parents, Joseph and Girlie Warrens; brothers, Rondall, Lowell, Roy and Raymond; grandson, Jeremy Powell; daughter-in-law, Cindy (Waugh) Warrens; brothers-in-law, Dean Flaker and Duane Graves; sister-in-law, Mae Warrens.
Ozzie and his loving wife, Pauline, enjoyed 63 years together. They loved camping with their family, and large family gatherings. Ozzies's other interests included doing oil paintings and drawing cartoons. He enjoyed raising large gardens and cutting firewood.
He was an active member of Richmond Dale Baptist Church where he served in roles of deacon, clerk, secretary and treasurer over the years. Ozzie was a 1952 graduate of Jackson High School. He retired from Mead Paper Co. in 1996 with 43 yrs. of service and was a member of Local 731.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2024 at WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastors, nephew, Ronnie Warrens and Bill Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 6 – 8 p.m. on Sunday.
