Otto L. Tuttle, 98, of Chillicothe, passed peacefully 6:55 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2023 at National Church Residences, "his home," with his son and daughter by his side.
He was born July 7, 1925 in Lancaster to the late Reverand Lloyd W. and Marvene (Stevens) Tuttle. On July 13, 1946 he married Letha Roberts who passed on June 7, 2009.
Surviving are children, Diana (Mark) Crawford, of Chillicothe and Darrell (Liz Churchill) Tuttle, of Circleville; grandchildren, Chad (Jill Jackson) Crawford, Cory Crawford, Cassie (Stacy) Johnson: great grandchildren, Mia (Brandon), Tyler, Kanin, Karrah, Cole, Maci, Ava, and Brice; great great grandchildren, Aubrey and Brae; sisters in law, Joanne Tuttle, Pat Eller, Sandi Leacock; extended family, MaryBeth (Dr. Joe) Maly, Maggie (Chris) Pope, Grace, Claire, Catherine, Evelyn and Archie. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Dick and Jim Tuttle; a sister, Mary Ellen Busch Banks; and a great granddaughter, Marah Briann.
Otto retired from the Mead Corporation and from Ross County Commissioners office. He was a member of Trinity U.M. Church and Chillicothe Evening Lions Club. Otto served his country during WW II as a Navy Seabee. His foreign service included Saipan and Mariana Islands. Otto was active in church, choir, scouting and flying. He and Letha enjoyed traveling all over the world, including a visit to Saipan. He was very dedicated to family and planning annual vacations. Otto built 2 of the family's homes, mostly by himself.
The family would like to extend special "thank yous" to Marsha Ward, CNP and the entire staff and hospice teams with National Church Residences, for Otto's exceptional care.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday November 28, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Wes Souders officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery with Military graveside rites by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends and family may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5-7 p.m. on Monday.
