Paul Clinton Scharbrough, 58, of Chillicothe, passed at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in the James Cancer Center OSU following an extended illness.

He was born February 9, 1968, in Stanford, Kentucky, to Jake and Shirley Martin Scharbrough.  On July 15, 2011, he married the former Sherry Vest who survives.

In addition to his wife, surviving are his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Tom King; children, John Scharbrough, Duston (Cynthia) Scharbrough, Aaron Trent, Chad (Jamie) Faulkner and Kristen (Johnnie) Montgomery; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Dave (Evelyn) Scharbrough and Wayne (Debbie) Scharbrough; sisters, Tish (Dave) Canter, Crystal (Brian) French and Denise (Randy Shepherd) Music; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his father and stepmother, Jake and Marci Scharbrough; a great grandson; and a brother Gayle Scharbrough.

Paul was the owner and operator of Scharbrough Contracting.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting.  Paul also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jeff Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Monday.
