Priscilla Kaye Ackley, 84, of Chillicothe, passed 2:25 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born March 30, 1939, in Chillicothe, to the late John William and Dorothy E. Ward Brand.  On May 23, 1964, she married Arthur F. Ackley who passed December 22, 2008.

Surviving are a step son, David "Mike" Ackley of Chillicothe; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ackley; daughter-in-law, Janet Ackley; nieces, Mary Ellen (Tony) Hughes, of Circleville and Betty  Putnam, of Marietta; special friends, Dwayne Kisler, Daryl Kisler, Jane Garrett, Bev Crider, Ron and Jan Holsinger, Mandy Wallingford Cowman, Avery Cowman and Sherry Haman; plus all of her neighbors and friends in Chillicothe and Naples, FL.  She was predeceased by step daughter, Sue Lechner and step son, Larry F. Ackley.

Priscilla retired from ALCOA.  She was a member of Walnut Street Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Theresa Lehman officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Friends and family may call from 11 am – 1 pm prior to the service.
