Ricky McCoy, 70, of Londonderry passed 7:28 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at his home.

He was born October 28, 1955 in Columbus to the late Henry and Sylvia Scarberry McCoy.

Surviving are children, Joshua (Kelli) McCoy, of Chillicothe and Ricci Lynn (Mike) Burchett, of Kentucky; grandchildren, Riley, Lucas and Bonnie McCoy, all of Chillicothe; brothers, Jimmy McCoy, of Laurelville; sisters, Vicki Blanton, of Pomeroy and Betty Lou Oliver. He was predeceased by brother, Scotty McCoy.

Rick was a retired truck driver 30+ year. His true passion was the outdoors. He could always be found calling in a turkey or rattling in a buck or on the lake with the rod and reel. This was a tradition he looked forward to every year with his kids and family. He also worked at His Sons motorcycle mechanic shop which he loved to do. He also was a member of the Lost Tribe Motorcycle Club. He carried that brotherhood with pride. Brothers not by blood but by respect, loyalty, devotion, and the patch. A true meaning to not all blood makes you family. They stood by him until the end making sure he was loved and honored by many.

Ricky was not one to call celebrations to himself even though we would anyways. He was a jokester that could make anyone laugh and have a good time. One that had many stories to all those willing to listen. He was also a former member of the U.S Navy. His Legacy will continue to live through his Children Josh and Ricci Lynn and his grandchildren Riley, Lucas, Bonnie, whom he loved more than life.

Ricky aka Crazy Rick aka PawPaw touched a lot of lives and will be missed dearly every single day. Never to be forgotten only to be loved and cherished in his memories. Ricky was loved by all who knew him.
