Rita Sue Puckett, 79, of Chillicothe, passed on May 24, 2026 unexpectedly.

She was born July 23, 1946, in Hillsboro, Ohio, to the late Roy E. and Arlie M. Rhoads Puckett.

She is survived by an uncle, Harry "Jack" Austin Puckett, of Hillsboro; several cousins; and her beloved church family from Community of Christ Church in Chillicothe.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Rita retired from the Chillicothe VA Medical Center and from the office of the Ross County Commissioners.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, in Twin Township Cemetery, Bourneville, Ohio, with Pastor Harry Harrel officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
