Robert Michael "Mike" McColgan, 72, of Chillicothe, passed at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 3, 1951, in Logan, WV, to the late Robert Norris and Mary Alice Meadows McColgan.

Surviving are children, Travis, Jaime, Robert and Jeremy; former wife and caregiver, Sherry McColgan, of Columbus; a granddaughter, Lelia McColgan; a brother, Tom McColgan, of Oakwood, OH; sisters, Cheryl (Joel) Worth, of Winter Haven, FL and Karen McColgan, of Lexington, KY; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Yvonne McColgan, formerly of Washington C.H.

Mike retired from Fisher Cast Steel in West Jefferson, Ohio.  He enjoyed collecting and working word find puzzles.  Mike will be remembered for having a kind heart.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated.  There will be no public services.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
