Robert M. Strawser, 79, of Richmond Dale, passed at 1:47 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born August 19, 1944, in Ross County, to the late Harry and Leona Page Strawser.  On June 15, 1969, he married the former Anna L. Tinker who passed November 6, 2015.

Surviving are sons, Michael Aaron (Lynn A.) Strawser and Matthew Brian Strawser, of Bucyrus, OH; grandchildren, Chance Strawser, of Baton Rouge, LA, Carter Strawser, of Marion, OH, Jac Honline, of Columbus, Ben Honline, of Chillicothe, Katie Strawser, of Michigan and Grace Strawser, of Bucyrus.  He was predeceased by a brother, Jerry Strawser.

Robert served in the United States Amry during the Vietnam War.  He retired from the Chillicothe Fire Department where he had worked for 27 years.  Robert also served as a Volunteer Fireman and was an E.M.T. Paramedic Captain for Springfield Township.  He was also an E.M.T. Instructor at the Pickaway Ross Career and Technology Center and was an Ambulance Inspector for the State of Ohio.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in the First Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jon Welch officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  Visitation will be held in the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
