Roger L. Roberts, 69, of Chillicothe, passed at 9:44 a.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024 at his residence unexpectedly.

He was born July 3, 1955, in Chillicothe, to the late Leon Edward and Ellen L. Bland Roberts.  On October 2, 1976, he married the former Tena M. Colvin who survives.

In addition to his wife, surviving are a son, David (Christine Buckalew) Roberts, of Chillicothe; a daughter, Barbara (Lee Ritchie) Roberts, of Paris, KY; grandchildren, Savannah Roberts, Ethan Roberts, Lucas Roberts and Kelton Downs; a great grandson, Ezra Boltenhouse; a brother, John (Nancy) Roberts, of Chillicothe; a sister, Linda Sims, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Karen Ward; a grandson, Logan Ward; and a sister, Janet Storts.

Roger worked for Sommers Masonry and primarily worked as a contractor at the Mead Paper Company.  Roger loved to fish and was an avid mushroom hunter.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday, July 11, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Brother Fred Leasure officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held for family and friends in the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
