IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Ronald "Ron"

N. Fultz

Oct 14, 1938 — Jun 25, 2026

Obituary

Ronald N. Fultz, 87, of Chillicothe passed 6:55 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026.

He was born October 14, 1938 in Chillicothe to C. Roy and Geraldine Bethel Fultz.  On January 1, 1958 he married Sharon K. Kauffman who preceded him in death June 14, 2022.

He is survived by children, Rhonda (Mike) McGuire, Kevin (Terri) Fultz, Tony (Sheri) Fultz and Regina (Billy Scarberry) Williamson, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kevin "Keon" Fultz, Leslie (Jason) Fultz-Keiser, Kevin "Chopper" Williamson, Jenifer "Buff" Williamson, Drew (Marissa) Fultz, Matt McGuire, Marcus (Kendra) McGuire, Kelli Jo (Ethan) Leapley, Megan (Chris) Cottrill, and Faye "Lynnie" Cottrill; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brothers, James Fultz and Duane (Lorna) Ison; sister, Chris Fultz; sisters-in-law, Patricia Barber and Jody Graves; special friend, BJ McCray; his beloved dog, Bridgette; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by father, C. Roy Fultz; mother and step-father, Geraldine and Carl Ison; sisters, Glenna Elliott and Judith Workman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Jean and Robert Chaney and Mary "Tick" and Jerry McCorkle and best friend, Gary Graves.

Ron was a longtime member of Liberty Hill Christian Union Church, and served as an elder for many years.  He worked 34 years and retired from the Mead/Chilpaco Company.  He also served his country in Army Reserves.  He was a semi-serious walker and ardent NASCAR fan.  Paps loved to laugh, and always found the humor in things, no matter the situation.  He loved his children, his grandchildren, greats and great-greats, and took immense joy in their accomplishments.  He loved his dog, Bridgette, who was a source of comfort, laughter, and sometimes concern (due to her penchant for eating hearing aid batteries, glasses and other inedibles). But most of all he loved Granny, and his family knows how hard the last four years were for him-not for any illness or pain, save for being parted from her.  We know that Ron and Sharon are reunited in the presence of Jesus Christ, and his heart is whole again.  Hug Granny for us, Paps, we will love and miss you always.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Bonnie Kellough for all of the wonderful meals she provided, the staff of 3A at Adena Regional Medical Center and the staff at National Church  Residences.
