Ronnie L. Whitt, 71, of Chillicothe, died 12:30 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born August 2, 1951 in Omega to Herbert Whitt and Evelyn (Rapp) Proehl.

Surviving are a daughter, Chasity (Shane) McCullough, and a son, Danny (Jody) Whitt, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Taylor Whitt, Draden McCullough and Jamie Parker; former wife and mother of his children, Diana Whitt; sisters, Debra Proehl, of Chillicothe and Ladonna Lippincott, of St. James City, FL; a brother, Jerry Whitt, of FL; uncle, Steve Rapp; aunts, Jean Wilcox and Charlotte (Jerry) Beeler; a special nephew, Douglas Whitt, of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by his father, Herbert Whitt; mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Chester Proehl; brothers, Laymon "Tom", Bill and Roger Whitt and Chester "Chessy" Proehl; sisters, Hazel Whitt and Tina Edwards; a nephews, Junior Wilcox and Laymon "Tommy" Whitt; a very special friend, Dee Downing and his dog, Flash.

Ronnie was a member of the Moose Lodge 1626 and served in the U.S. Army during the Post-Vietnam War.
