Ruth Arleen Estle, 81, of Hillsboro, passed at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, March 24, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.

Ruth Arleen Estle was born March 11 1943, to Hobart Ansel and Berta Marie Ogan Wade in Ross County, Ohio.  She was the 8th child born of that union and, being the youngest, watched her siblings grow and move on with their lives and spouses.  She met the love of her life, James Daniel Estle, and they married on July 30, 1965.  They lived in several places before finding their happy place near Hillsboro, Ohio, where they had wonderful neighbors.  Arleen worked at different jobs but most enjoyed her time at Trippies Restaurant, where she loved interacting with her customers and friends.

Arleen was an avid crafter, spending many hours knitting, crocheting, quilt making, and hand painting stamped greeting cards.  Over the years, she had booths at craft malls where she sold her projects.  However, her favorite projects were the one she made for family and friends.

Arleen was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Roberta, Alvin, Maxine, Hobart Jr., Ralph, Leo and JoAnne.  She is survived by her loving husband, Jim, a special niece, Vicki (Richard) Cox, her kitty Scrap, and 4 generation of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank National Church Residences Hospice, especially Shelley and April, for their loving compassion and care.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
