Shane Michael Gozy, 35, of Chillicothe, passed at 10:02 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born March 25, 1991, in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Surviving are his mother and father, Angela and Jeff Thacker, of Chillicothe; dad and mom, Shawn and Penny Gozy; a brother, Cameron Michael Gozy, of Chillicothe; maternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Spencer, of Chillicothe; paternal grandparents, Suzette and Duane Dunn, of Chillicothe; great grandmother, Shirley Thacker; an aunt, Paula Spencer, of Florida; an uncle, Bob Spencer, of Texas; and many friends including special friends, Anthony Beverly, Mark Flury, Aaron Daily, all of Chillicothe and Ryan Williams, of Florida.  He was predeceased by his great grandfather, Paul Thacker.

Shane was a talented Car Salesman having worked for Maserati Alfa Romeo of Daytona in Daytona Beach, FL.  He was a former member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Union Local 132 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1626.  Shane had attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Shane developed many passions. Shane become a digital creator for his own website to raise awareness that made awareness of persons with disabilities to have a new passion for life and creativity. Shane loved golfing NASCAR baseball and especially football. His favorite saying was be like Biff and do it for Dale. He was a TikTok influencer with many followers. He loved making videos reviewing products and giving updates on his progress. He loved RC cars. He raced them and would build them and paint them to sell. He loved Cletus McFarland and hope to meet him one day. Shane never met a stranger. His charisma was out of this world. What meant the most to Shane was his love for his two animals Zola, his "tiny feisty protective" Chihuahua and his "ride or die" cat Ryder.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026 in Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Robb Fowler officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Friday.

The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Kim, Jayda, Roxanne, Devon, Katie and his physical therapy girls for being in Shane's life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help the family.
