Sharon L. McGee, 58, of Chillicothe passed 8:44 am Monday, May 15, 2023 at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

She was born July 15, 1964 in Lancaster to Thomas and Charlotte Aspel Strausbaugh.  On June 22, 2002 she married Mike McGee who survives.

In addition to her father, Thomas Strausbaugh of Chillicothe, surviving are children, Matthew (Tiffany) McGee of Chillicothe, Jessie DeChant of Athens and Joy (Tom) Brown of Chillicothe; 4 grandchildren; many friends, including a special friend, Tony Moody of Tarlton; many aunts, uncles and cousins and her fur baby, Bunnie.  She was predeceased by her mother, Charlotte Strausbaugh.

Sharon was a servant for the Lord, she attended the Philadelphia Fellowship and was a retired healthcare worker.  She spent most of her time serving the needs of others.  Sharon always kept family and friends together.  She never met a stranger, and because of her love for life she was a witness to many.  She loved to travel.  Some of her favorite places were Pigeon Forge and Amish Country.  She dreamed of moving to Arizona one day.  Sharon was a loving and devoted daughter, wife and friend to many.

A graveside service will be held approximately 12:30 pm Friday, May 19, 2023, following the calling hours, in Concord Cemetery with Pastor Cliff Rowe officiating.  Friends and family may call from 10 am – 12 Noon on Friday at the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
