Stephanie A. Cooke, 69, of Chillicothe, passed at 6:29 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at her residence unexpectedly.

She was born December 10, 1954, in Chillicothe, to the late Orval C. and Marilyn R. Cadden Minser.  On May 15, 1976, she married George E. Cooke, Jr. who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Tara (Nathaniel) Blanton, of Chillicothe; a son, George E. Cooke III, of Lexington, Ohio; a granddaughter, Marilyn Blanton; a sister, Lisa Cuckler; brothers, Douglas Minser and Gregory Minser; an aunt, Jane White, all of Chillicothe; sisters-in-law, Ilona (James) Taylor, of Casper Wyoming and Darlene Cooke, of Nashville, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, George and Virginia Cooke and a sister-in-law, Janolyn Frazier.

Stephanie was a 1974 graduate of Bishop Flaget High School.  She had worked at the Chillicothe Animal Care Clinic and the former First Federal Savings and Loan.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Frank Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be held at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
