Steven Michael Potts, 56, of Chillicothe, passed away in OSU Wexner Medical Center's Ross Heart Hospital at 11:15 a.m. on May 12, 2023 while surrounded by his family.

He was born May 12, 1967 to the late Harold and Mary (Hamilton) Potts.  On May 20, 1989, he married Michele (Saxour) Potts who survives.

Steve was well known and loved by many.  He had an amazing talent of restoring and painting cars.  He loved music, fishing, camping, spending time with his family and enjoying time at the family lake house.  He loved his wife and children dearly and his most cherished role in his life was being Papaw.

Surviving, along with his wife Michele, are his children, Cody, Cory and Chelsey Potts; grandchildren, Cali and Coleson Cottrill, Rifften Potts, Aliana Potts, who is due to be born in September; his faithful fur companion, his dog Chase; sisters, Sharon Barnes and Rosanne Rapp; brothers, Harold "Bud" Potts and Charles "Chuck" Potts; and many loved nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Potts and a brother Robert Potts.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in Londonderry Cemetery with Jon Anderson officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
