Tamara K. Barker, 57, of Chillicothe, passed 12:53 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023 in the Adena Regional Medical following an extended illness.

She was born August 6, 1966, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Howard W. and Patricia Wolford Jacobs.

Surviving are sons, Seth King and Cody King, both of Chillicothe; mother, Patricia (Carl) Gearhart, of Chillicothe; a granddaughter, Kinzlee King; a sister, Janice (Hersey) Quinn, of New Port News, VA; a brother, Mike (Vickie) Jacobs, of Frankfort; 4 step brothers; a step sister; a sister-in-law, Karen Jacobs, of Laurelville; a brother-in-law, Gary Long, of Frankfort; and nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father, Howard W. Jacobs; a brother, Jeffrey Jacobs; a sister, Carolyn Long; and a step brother.

Tamara was a graduate of Zane Trace High School and had worked as a Medical Aid.

A graveside service will be held 12 noon Friday, November 3, 2023 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Jammie Wilhelm officiating.   There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
