Teddy "Big Ted" McDaniel, Sr., 66, of Washington Court House, passed 10:45 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024 at his son's residence following an extended illness.

He was born March 1, 1958, in West Hamlin, WV.

Surviving are children, Stacy (Craig) Severance, Robert McDaniel, Teddy L. McDaniel, Jr., Christina Kamer, Tristan Heath, Bailiegh McDaniel and Holden McDaniel; several grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special uncle, Gary Gallimore.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents who raised him, Alonzo and Alberta Gallimore; a daughter, Deborah McDaniel; and many aunts and uncles.

Teddy was a concrete worker.  He loved to hunt morel mushrooms and fish.  Teddy was always laughing and joking around and always wanted everyone to be happy.  He would give you the shirt off of his back.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.  There will be no funeral service or visitation.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
