Teena M. McCollister, 69, of Chillicothe, passed at 9:35 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2026 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 23, 1956, in Malone, NY, to the late Francis and Katherine Debyah Shova.  On December 5, 1975, she married Ellwyn "Mac" McCollister who passed January 15, 2026.

Surviving are sons, Jamie McCollister, of Chillicothe and Ted Routt, of Washington C.H.; a brother, Timothy Shova, of Malone, NY; two nephews; and several aunts and uncles.  She was predeceased by a sister, Terri LaMay and an infant brother, Tommy Shova.

Teena had worked as a house cleaner.

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated.  A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
