Teresa M. Butterbaugh, 62, of Chillicothe passed 10:44 a.m. Sunday, August 9, 2026 at her home.

She was born August 19, 1963 in Ross County, Ohio, to the late George and Patricia Hardesty Hesson. On August 19, 2000 she married Timothy Butterbaugh who preceded her April 20, 2021.

Surviving are her children; Joshua Butterbaugh (Sheri) of Findley, Justin Potts (Angel) of Ray, Nathan Potts (Clarissa) of Chillicothe,

Grandchildren, Dakota (Erin), Quentin (Sadie), Hannah (Jordan), Jordan, Avery, Monica, Ethan, Emilee, Haylee, Noah, Julia, Lauren, and John; 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, including Wendy (Jack) Allison whom she considered a sister; and a close family friend, Mitchell Keller. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Zachary Potts and a sister, Judy Fyffe.

Teresa had worked as a Teacher and Bus Driver for Ross County Head Start. She had attended Brookside CCCU. She was a kind loving soul and was always willing to help anyone in need.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
