Walter Crawford, Jr., 77, of Yellowbud, passed 5:26 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2023 in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly.

He was born March 12, 1946, in Yellowbud, to the late Walter Sr. and Betty Bennett Crawford.  On June 26, 1970, he married the former Barbara Romans who passed September 7, 1974.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Larry Bush, of Chillicothe; a son, Joshua Crawford, of Chillicothe; a granddaughter, Erica Bush; great grandchildren, Brady and Brice Bush; brothers, Dick Crawford and Mike Crawford, both of Yellowbud; a sister, Vicky (George) Johnson, of Lakeland, FL; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a son, Chad Crawford.

Walter served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He retired from RCA /Thomson Consumer Electronics in Circleville.  Walter was a member of American Legion Post 134, AMVETS Post 2256 and VFW Post 3331.  He was an avid golfer and loved to golf with his buddies from the American Legion.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2023 in Springbank Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by his friends from Circleville AMVETS Post 2256 Honor Guard.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME, Chillicothe, OH from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the graveside service on Monday.
