Wayne E. "Buddy" Imler, 49, of Chillicothe, passed at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born January 26, 1974, in Chillicothe, to JoAnna Claytor Imler, who survives, and the late Wayne E. Imler, Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Cheryl McAllister Imler; a son, Austin Imler Parker, who he loved and missed everyday eventhough he was no longer part of his life; stepchildren, Holly Castle and Jacob (Rachael) Johnson; a granddaughter, Alyssa (Derek) Mitchell; and great grandsons, Kai and Aiden Mitchell; a sister, Brenda (Brad) Pfeifer; a niece, Heather (Joe Speakman) McGlone; nephews, Brandon (Allison Betkey) Pfeifer and Brody Pfeifer; great nieces and great nephews, Joselyn and Presley Speakman and Henry and Magnolia Pfeifer. In addition to his father, Buddy was predeceased by his grandparents, Ralph and Doris Imler and Clinton Claytor and Cledith Shrofe.
Buddy was born a driver and could drive anything from forklifts to semis and school buses. He liked camping, fishing and dirt track races. Buddy will continue to make us laugh with memories of him and his silly stories.
In keeping with Buddy's wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Ross County Conservation League, 428 Brown Hollow Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ross County Conservation League where he was a member.
