Wilma A. Whitten, 83, of Chillicothe passed 4:57 p.m. Monday June 26, 2023 at Adena Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 19, 1940 in Lawrence County to the late Charles and Hilda (Snyder) Crace. She married Robert L. "Bob" Whitten, who preceded her in death August 18, 2015.
Surviving are sons, Lee (Christy) Whitten and Bobby (Lisa) Whitten both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Shannan (T.C.) Lane, Lindsay (Noah) Kemper, Logan (Mallory) Whitten, Landon Whitten and Jeremy Barrows; seven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, including special niece, Marsha (Ted) Noel, special nephew, Daniel Crace and fiancé Sara; sisters-in-law, Judy Crace and Marilyn Whitten; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Kathy Whitten; many friends, including special friends, Josie Haynes, Nellie Oyer and Geraldine Tanner, plus many life-long friends. She was predeceased by son, Alan Whitten; brother, John Crace; sister, Patty Clark; sister-in-law, Helen Greenwalt and brother-in-law, Grover Whitten.
Wilma retired from the Shawnee Bowling Lanes. She attended Andersonville UMC, was a former member of the Unioto Boosters Club and a member of Eagles Aerie #600.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the ICU doctors and nurses at ARMC.
Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Wilma.
A graveside service will be held 4 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2023 in the Springbank Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Hines officiating.
