Zelda D. Waites, 87, of Chillicothe passed on Sunday August 20, 2023 at Adena Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 7, 1936 in Letart, West Virginia to the late Henry and Ruby (Simpson) Oliver.  She married Harry Waites who preceded her in death.

Surviving are children, William H. (Deborah) Lucas, Carol (Randall) Bland, Linda (Jonathan) Walter, Randy (Joe Collins) Lucas and Dawn (Truman) Geiman; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her grandson, Brock Chaney,  sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Clarence Wallin.

Zelda was a homemaker for her family.  She loved the Lord and attended Lighthouse Baptist Church until her health declined.  Zelda will be deeply missed by her family.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery.  Friends and family may call 2 hours prior to the service on Thursday.
