Alice Marie Pettit

     Alice Marie Pettit, 83, of Chillicothe, passed at 7:25 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 at her residence following a brief illness.

     She was born January 25, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Cecil G., Sr. and Martha M. Miller Buckner.  On June 8, 1961, she married William Arlo Pettit who passed July 8, 1990. 

     Surviving are sons, William Pettit, Mike Pettit and Tim (Dora) Pettit; daughters, Wanda Leasure and Brenda (Dennis) Graham; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Hamman; a brother, Stephen Buckner; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by children, Bobby Pettit, Kelvin Pettit, Charles Pettit and Nancy Cradlebaugh; grandsons, Jonathan, Bobby and Andrew Pettit; and brothers and sisters.

     A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in Little Mound Cemetery, Richmond Dale.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
