Alva L. “Todd” Graves, 81, of Chillicothe passed 5:43 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2025 at his home following an extended illness.
He was born April 23, 1944 in Vinton County to the late Carl F. and Naomi Cyrus Graves. On November 13, 1976 he married Carmelita Sue “Susie” Bland who survives.
Also surviving are children, Tamara (Mark) Scott, of Florida, Jay (Jenna Beth) Graves, of Texas, Ryan Graves and Gretchen (Michael) Deck, of Texas; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother, George (Sherry) Graves, of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Janice Graves, of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Lori Graves; sister, Janice Snyder; brothers, William, Duane, Delno and Ernest Graves, Paul Smith and Floyd Hill.
Todd was owner of the former Al Graves Automatic Transmission Service Specialist. He was a member of the First Church of Nazarene. Todd served on the USS Forrestal during Vietnam while in the U.S. Navy.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Londonderry Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Schinkle and Pastor Ed Simon officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
