Andrew T. "Andy" Gibson III

Andrew T. “Andy” Gibson, III, 52, of Chillicothe, passed at 5:22 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

     He was born December 2, 1973, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Andrew T. II and JoAnn Cockrell Gibson.  On October 25, 1997, he married the former Ella Hutchison, who survives. 

     Also surviving are children, Andrea J. Gibson, Tiffany R. (Jordan) Jackson, Sabrina M. Gibson, Andrew T. Gibson IV and Carlee A. (Jacob Brooks) Gibson, all of Chillicothe; a grandson, Jayden Andrew Rey Spencer; brothers, Glenn (Glenda) Gibson, of Grove City, Dustin (Amber) Gibson, Casey (Amanda) Gibson and Kyle (Carrie Ross) Gibson, all of Chillicothe; an aunt, Shirley (John) Wise, of Chillicothe; an uncle, Richard (Sharon) Cockrell, of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; best friend, Brian Roush, of Chillicothe; and his Chevy S-10 family.

     Andy worked as a manager at several of the local Tim Hortons and was the owner of Nightmares to Fairytales comic store in Waverly.  Over the years, he played in several local bands and was an active part of the local music scene. 

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Jamey Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Huntington Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday.
