Annalee Chester Obituary

It is with great sorrow that our dear mother, Annalee Chester, passed on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her residence unexpectedly.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her.  Annalee cherished her family and many friends.

She was born May 7, 1937, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late Presley E. and Wanda Hegler Caldwell.

Surviving are a daughter, Christy L. Mallow, of Chillicothe; a son, Casey E. (Carol) Chester, of Columbus; grandchildren, Donald Brady Mallow, of Philadelphia, PA and Jeffrey E. Chester and his fiancée, Samantha D’Angelo, of Orlando, FL; and a sister, Janet (Robert) Bower, of Chillicothe.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte Lahmon and a brother, Howard Caldwell.

Annalee was a 1955 graduate of CHS and had worked as a Teachers Aid at McArthur and Mt. Logan Elementary Schools.  She was a member of the Walnut Street United Methodist Church and its Wesleyan Friends.  Following retirement, she enjoyed monthly luncheons with her former colleagues.  Annalee was an avid Ohio State Buckeye, Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds Fan.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Caldwell Cemetery with Pastor Therese Lehman officiating.  There will be no public calling hours.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Walnut Street United Church 16 S. Walnut Street Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
