Anne Maull Cox Obituary

Anne Maull Cox, 71, of Chillicothe, passed at 9:40 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025 at her residence following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Anne was the daughter to William Howell and Dorothy Summers Maull as well as the middle sister to Ellyn Maull Wilkoff and Sarah Jane Maull. After graduating from Upper Arlington High School, she was awarded her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in 1975 from Hiram College in Ohio. Anne’s most loving accomplishment was her 46 year marriage to William Leroy Cox. In addition to Anne’s husband and sisters, she leaves behind 8 nephews and their families as well as many amazing friends.

Anne had many achievements through her life, one being her ordination as a Pastoral Assistant through Indiana Wesleyan and worked for the district as a “Special Worker”. This enabled Anne to operate in her passion which was people. Everyone that Anne met felt seen, heard and genuinely cared about. She spent many hours meeting people at hospitals, in their homes, at coffee shops to pray with them, counsel and assist as the need revealed. She also had a great passion for animals and was a fabulous caregiver to her many dogs and her horse, Smoke.  Anne was also known for her tremendous love for Christ, her Savior. People constantly state how she touched their lives through her love and connecting them to God.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at the First Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jon Welch officiating.  A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Wesleyan Church PO Box 10 Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
