Arlene Hardesty

     Arlene Hardesty, 82, of Chillicothe passed 1:50 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Embassy of Valley View.

     She was born May 7, 1944 in Drift, Kentucky to the late L.B. and Lillie Daniels Harrington.  She was married to the late Leo Grayson.  On March 8, 2002, she married Donald G. Hardesty who passed February 27, 2016. 

     Surviving are a daughter, Brenda L. (Larry) Vickers, of Chillicothe; a sister, Judy (Ronald) Arrowood, of Circleville; brothers, Donald (Barbara) Harrington, of Chillicothe, Danny (Vivian) Harrington, of Utah, Roger (Judy) Harrington, of Chillicothe, Stan (Diane) Harrington, of Waverly, Denver (Coleen) Harrington, of Chillicothe and Jeff Harrington, of Ashville; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Delores Kimbler and an infant brother, David Harrington. 

     Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Golden Valley of Lights Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 12 noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
