Barbara A. Carl

Barbara A. Carl, 65, of Chillicothe, went home to be with her Heavenly Father at 1:06 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2025 in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly.

     She was born February 10, 1960, in Chillicothe, Ohio to Harold and Mildred Ruth (Brown) Puckett.  On February 18, 1978, she married Jeffrey L. Carl who survives.

     In addition to her husband, surviving are sons, Zachary Lane (Jerrna Bone) Carl and Chad Edward Carl; grandsons, Calvin Norris Carl and Cameron Edward Carl; a granddaughter, Cheyanne Cassie Marie Carl; a great granddaughter, Hopelynn Ann Iolene Carl; brothers, Bill (Melissa) Puckett and Thomas (Norma) Puckett; sisters, Roseann (Mike) Good and Angela Puckett; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her youngest grandson, Ashton Lane Carl. 

     Barbara graduated from Southeastern High School in 1978.  She attended Pickaway Ross Vocational School where she majored in Graphic Arts and also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. 

     Barbara had worked at the former Harts Department Store in Chillicothe for 14 years, for Dr. Chavala at Berger Hospital in Circleville, Ohio and at Southeastern Business College where she was Vice President of Financial Aid. 

     Barbara loved the Lord her God, her family, her cats and her dogs.  In addition, she loved to travel and go to Casinos.

     Funeral services will be held 12 noon Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Chris David officiating.  Burial will follow in Huntington Township Cemetery.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.
