Barbara Detillion of, Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Cranberry Park of Circleville following an extended illness.
She was born in Chillicothe to the late Oscar and Addie E. Bowl Davis. In 1969 she married Don W. Detillion who preceded her November 18, 2012.
Surviving are children, Jeannie (Stanley) Humphrey, of Island Pond, VT, Colleen Rutherford, of Ray, Gary Damron, of Chillicothe and Brian (Shawna) Detillion, of Chillicothe; 18 grandchildren, including her guardian angel and best friend, Angelia (Paul) Miller, of Amanda; 26 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughter, Jolitta Parks; son-in-law, Richard Rutherford; sisters, Pandora Kerns, Shirley Damron and Vesta Westfall; brothers, Richard, Leroy and Lovell Davis.
Barbara was a licensed REALTOR® for over 40 years. She was one of the area’s Top Producers, and received numerous Awards of Distinction throughout her career retiring with the coveted title of Legacy REALTOR®.
She was a member of Civil Air Patrol, O.E.S. Chapter 19, B.P.O.E. #52, a former board member of the Chillicothe Civil Service Commission and an EMT.
Barbara was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and great great great grandmother to a large family which she felt was her greatest accomplishment in life. She took great pride in keeping her family together and she loved each and every one of them “To the moon and Back.” She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
