Barbara McGee Molebash Obituary

Barbara McGee Molebash passed away in her home surrounded by her husband and children on Friday, May 23, 2025 after an extended illness. Born on December 15, 1959, she was only 65 years old when she passed from this life into the next. Her family is deeply saddened by her loss.

Bobbie, as she was known by everyone who knew and loved her, is survived by her husband, William H. Molebash of Chillicothe, OH. They were high school sweethearts who amassed volumes of happy memories during their 46 years of marriage. Together, they had two children; Wesley W. Molebash (and beloved daughter-in-law, Kari) of Kingston, OH, and Lara B. Molebash of Brooklyn, NY. She also leaves behind her two grandsons; Parker and Connor, whom she adored, her two sisters; Karin McGee (Bob Meadows) and Nancy McGee, both of Chillicothe, OH, and a loving extended family. Bobbie was preceded in death by her father, Robert W. McGee, and her mother, Janet H. McGee.

She was a 1978 graduate of Chillicothe High School, and her career was spent in office administration and customer service. She retired in 2021.

A born creative, Bobbie practiced art through a variety of mediums: charcoal, pastels, watercolors, latex paints, gardening, and sewing to name a few. She was also very generous with her talents. She painted landscapes and portraits, crafted jewelry and clothing, and made large abstract paintings and collages. Many of these artworks were lovingly gifted to her friends and family during her lifetime.

She was passionate about ancestry, and spent many hours researching the family histories of both the McGees and the Molebashes. Her home was handsomely appointed with family heirlooms, the artwork of her children and grandchildren, and her impeccable taste in interior decorating. Family traditions and gatherings were very important to Bobbie, and she made sure to have professional portraits with her husband, children, and grandchildren taken regularly.

One of the most profound aspects of her life was the love she shared with her husband, Bill. Their relationship was the kind most people envied, and their marriage provided a wonderful example of love, partnership, and trust.

There will be a small gathering for the immediate family to honor Bobbie’s memory at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. PHA is the first and largest organization in the world dedicated to providing comprehensive PH patient and caregiver support, medical education, care services that improve patients’ quality of life, and research to give hope to people battling the disease.

I love you so much it hurts me

And there’s nothing I can do

I want to hold you my dear forever and ever

I love you so much it hurts me so
