Beckie A. Schaeffer

     Beckie A. Schaeffer, 60, of Chillicothe, passed at 7:05 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026 at her residence following a brief illness. 

     She was born April 13, 1966, in Ross County, to the late William A. Patrick, Sr. and Thelma Andrews Patrick.  On February 29, 1996, she married Larry A. Schaeffer who survives.

     Also surviving are sons, Cody (Danielle) Gil, of Waverly, Casey Gil, of Washington DC and Cory Gil, of Chillicothe; granddaughters, Lorelai and Fiona Gil; a sister, Sherrie A. (Lesley) Patrick, of Chillicothe; brothers, David A. Patrick, of Westerville and Rick Good, of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law, Pat Patrick; an aunt and uncle, Dave and Barb Madru; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many friends including special friends, Anna and John D’Angelo.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Debra A. Bivens and brothers, William A. Patrick, Jr., Timothy A. Patrick and Steven A. Patrick.

     As an owner of Crosskey’s, Beckie spent her life serving others and called everyone a friend.  Her devoted husband Larry of 30 years never failed to show his love for his wife.  Beckie had also worked at AMVETS Post 4 for many years and was honored with a lifetime membership.

     Family and friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.  A celebration of life will be held at the Crosskey’s and will start at 8 p.m. following the visitation on Tuesday, April 28th.
