Benjamin E. Stauffer, 85, of London, formerly of Chillicothe, died 5:14 a.m. Sunday, July 25, 2021 in Mt. Carmel Medical Center, in Grove City, OH.
He was born February 9, 1936, in Chillicothe, to the late Clark and Bell McCarty Stauffer. On August 5, 1962, he married the former Judith Ann Clester who died December 7, 2005.
Surviving are children, Jon Eric (Linda) Stauffer, of Venice, FL, Amy C. (Tom) Thurston, of London, OH and Bryan E. (Hahn) Stauffer, of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Daniel Heath Stauffer and Sara Mae Dresbach; great grandchildren, Madilyn Smith and Ashai Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, William, Robert, Daniel, Clarence, Richard, Ted and Thomas Stauffer and sisters, Mabel Stevins, Frances Malone and Betty Stauffer.
Benjamin served in the United States Army. He retired from Dupont where he had worked for 40 years. Benjamin was a member of the Christian Science Church.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Chase Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
