Bernard D. Ferris, Jr.

     Bernard D. Ferris, Jr., 60, of Chillicothe, passed at 12:13 a.m. Sunday, May 8, 2022 at his residence unexpectedly.

     He was born September 3, 1961, in Huntington, WV to Bernard D. Sr. and Melva Wallace Ferris, both whom survive, of Chesapeake, Ohio.  On December 12, 1990, he married the former Pamela Parker who survives.

     In addition to his wife and parents, surviving are daughters, Lisa Ferris, of Columbus and Beverly (James) Johnson, of Glenford; a son, Michael Ferris, of Portsmouth; 15 grandchildren; siblings, Jerry Wallace, of Chesapeake, Teresa (Wayne) Ross, of Chesapeake, Carolyn (Bill) Sayre, of South Point and Joe (Missy) Ferris, of Barboursville, WV; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased a brother, Richard Ferris.

     Jr. had worked as a commercial roofer. 

     A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in Huntington Township Cemetery with Chaplin Jeff Davis officiating.  Friends may call at the cemetery one hour prior to the graveside on Wednesday.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME. 

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
