Bernice O. Detillion

Bernice O. Detillion, 94, of Chillicothe, known as “Mam” to family and friends, passed into heaven early Tuesday morning, December 17, 2024.

     She was born December 7, 1930 near Frankfort, Ohio to the late Zennie and Daisy Trenner Forcum.

     On December 26, 1952 she married Howard M. Detillion who preceded her in death on February 28, 2019.

     Surviving are children Mitzi (Cookie) Detillion, Michael (Jackie) Detillion, Randy (Sheila) Detillion and Curtis (Arlita) Detillion, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Emily (Brett) Wood, Andrea (Scott) Kempton, Callie (Payton) Detillion; Stephanie (Per) Norander, Courtney (Ted) Ruppert, Joshua (Jacob) Detillion, Kelsey (Bo) Crabtree, Trevor (Gwen) Detillion, Quentin (Bryanna) Detillion, Chase (Tara) Detillion; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Butler; many nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Robert Forcum, Jr.  She was predeceased by daughter-in-law, Cynthia J.S. Detillion; brothers, Ernest, George, Kenneth and Robert Forcum; sisters, Ruth Blazer and Louise Brown.

     Bernice a graduate of Frankfort H.S. was a homemaker, loving mother and friend to many.

     She was known for her “Big Thursday” lunches where all were welcome to enjoy a meal and conversation.

     Following cremation a Celebration of Mam’s life will take place.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
