Betty Ann Alexander

Betty Ann Alexander, 98, of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord, whom she dearly loved, at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

     She was born October 3, 1926, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to the late William F. and Mary Etta Ingham Ramsey.  On August 16, 1952, she married William E. “Boo” Alexander who passed May 16, 1997.

     Surviving are a son James William Alexander, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Andrea (Joe) Smith, Joey (Heidi) Alexander and Jennifer (Jason) Murta; great grandchildren, Cindellynn (Mitchell) Rudy, Dawson (Hailey) Hoselton, Garrett Murta, Blace Farmer, Jaylen Murta, Alexis Bailes, Madelynn Alexander and Issac Alexander; great great grandson, Quentin Murta; a sister, Gladys Shephard, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved very much.  She was predeceased by  granddaughter, Janis Farmer; daughter-in-law, Krista Alexander; a sister, Evelyn M. Bowers; and brothers, William, Harry, Donald, Francis, Harold, Herbert and Lawrence Ramsey.     

     Betty was a member of High Street Church since 1997 and had served there as a Sunday School Teacher of Class #26 for many years.  She was also a member of First United Methodist Church for 54 years and had also taught Sunday School to Children there for 32 years.  Betty was a 25-year member of the Social Order of the Beauceant.  She worked at N. Franklin Township Election Board for 36 years and had also volunteered at the Adena Hospital for many years. 

     Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the High Street C.C.C.U. with Pastor Bruce Viar officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
