Betty Parker Obituary

     Betty I. Parker, 67, of Chillicothe, passed at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at her residence unexpectedly.

     She was born January 31, 1958, in Circleville, Ohio, to the late Pearl Sr. and Beulah Counts Barnhart.  On April 23, 1981, she married Stanley Parker who passed August 2, 2013.

     Surviving are children, Martha Johnson, Daniel (Teresa) Johnson and Michael Johnson, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, including William Johnson, whom she raised and Josh and Brittney; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Mert (Carl) Nungester, of South Bloomfield and Cindy McClain, of Waverly; a brother, Frank Barnhart, of Chillicothe; numerous nieces and nephews; many cousins including a special cousin, Rosie Counts; and a host of special friends.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kara and a sister, Flossie Stevens. 

     Betty was a lifetime member of the Rising Son Church, Kingston, Ohio.  Betty loved her family and many friends.  She will be dearly missed by all knew and loved her. 

     Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in the Rising Son Church with Co Pastor Fred Chaffin and Rev. Richard Shriber officiating.  Following the service, a private graveside will be held for family in Golden Valley Lights Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday.
