Betty J. Farmer

     Betty J. Farmer, 85, of Chillicothe, passed at 11:15 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2024 in Grant Medical Center, Columbus following an extended illness.

     She was born June 13, 1939, to the late Elmer and Leora Liebe Gallaugher.  On October 24, 1958, she married John W. Farmer, Jr. who survives.

     Also surviving are children, John R. (Gloria) Farmer, of Chillicothe, Jeanie (Donnie) Ross, of Chillicothe and Tim (Jana) Farmer, of Bainbridge; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Norma Jean Wood, of Circleville; brothers, Robert Gallaugher, of Chillicothe and Ronald (Hope) Gallaugher, of Grove City; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Larry Farmer and a sister, Louise Mick.  

     A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024 in Greenlawn Cemetery with her grandson, Deacon Michael Birchfield officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
