Betty Lou Young Obituary

     Betty Lou Young, 68, of Chillicothe, died Saturday, March 13, 2021 at her residence unexpectedly.

     She was born July 13, 1952, in Ross County, to the late Jack and Clella Merriman Hughes.  In 1971, she married Daniel A. Young, Sr. who died June 24, 2018.

     Surviving are a daughter, Theresa M. “Teri” (Frank D.) Tackett, of Chillicothe; a son, Daniel A. “Danny” (Robin) Young, II, of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Ashlee Tackett, Taylor Tackett, Zachary Tackett, Daniel Young III and Emalie Young; sisters, Donna Cox and Jackie Dearth, both of Chillicothe; a brother-in-law, Tom Page, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Page and a brother, Jim Knisley.  

     Betty had worked for the United States Postal Service and as a Deputy Sheriff for the Ross County Sheriff’s Department.  She had been a longtime 4-H Advisor for the former Bit-N-Spur 4-H Club and the Lope, Rattle, and Roll 4-H Club.  Betty was an avid Horse lover and loved her dogs. 

     In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
