Beverly R. Tyo

     Beverly R. Tyo, 85, of Chillicothe passed 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at her residence.

     She was born February 6, 1939 in  Chillicothe to the late James F. and Esta B. Mason Oates.  On June 7, 1958 she married William R. “Bill” Tyo who survives.

     Also surviving are children, Roger Tyo, of Chillicothe, Sandra (Jeff) Grigsby, of Frankfort, Bruce Tyo, of Chillicothe and Marsha Tyo, of Grove City; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Delma Jean Oates and Carolyn Barlage, both of Chillicothe; brother, Dean (Alice) Oates, of Allen, TX; daughter-in-law, Cindy Tyo, of Yorba Linda, CA.  She was predeceased by son, David J. Tyo; sisters, Peggy Conley, Pam Cornerstone, Nancy Oates, Nikki Oates and Betty Oates; brothers, James F. Jr., Alford Olin, Clarence “Pickle”, Donald, Norvel, William and Larry Oates.

     Beverly retired from Neff Interstate Driving School and was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church.

     A Celebration of Life will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Concord Presbyterian Church with Pastor Paul Winks officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
