Bobby W Cantrell

       Bobby W. Cantrell, 84, of West Mansfield, passed at 5:23 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital unexpectedly.

       He was born May 28, 1940, in Van Lear, Kentucky, to the late William H. and Gertie Wright Cantrell.  On August 3, 1959, he married the former Amy Watkins who passed September 3, 2023.

       Surviving are daughters, Rebecca Jane Cantrell, at home and Melissa Mae “Mel” Cantrell, of West Mansfield; 3 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Ina Davis, of Chillicothe and Ethel Perry, of Glasgow, KY; several nieces and nephews; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Chaney Cantrell; and his faithful companion, his dog, Baby.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Timothy Jerome Cantrell; brothers, Frank Cantrell and Jimmy Dyer; sisters, Jannie Bentley, Hellen Hurley and Loretta Cruze; and a son-in-law, Jeffrey Young. 

     Bobby retired from Ranco Controls.

     Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Leonard Roop officiating.  He will be laid to rest beside his wife in York Cemetery, York Center, Ohio.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.
