Bonnie L Kern

     Bonnie L. Kern, 95, of Chillicothe, went home praising God, at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 following a brief illness.

     She was born September 29, 1928, in Pike County, Ohio to the late Guy and Margaret Voelker Brammer.  On July 22, 1950, she married Wayne Kern who died July 5, 2012. 

     Surviving are a sister-in-law, Garnet Brammer, of Greenfield, OH and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Wanda Adams and a brother, James W. Brammer.

     Bonnie was a 1946 graduate of Beaver High School.  She was employed as an executive secretary for the United States Trotting Association, retiring after 42 years of service.

     She and her husband shared a strong interest in horses and were participants at many shows, along with their beloved dog, Chelsea.  She was a member of the Frankfort Baptist Church in Frankfort, OH.

     Bonnie acknowledges the steadfast and enduring friendship and love of Pastor Paul and Mary Winks, whose devotion was always strong and present.   

     Funeral services will be held 12 noon Tuesday, October 17, 2023 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Paul Winks officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Beaver, OH.  Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 10 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the service on Tuesday.
